ELIGIBILITY: All York County residents. Children must be in grades 2 - 12 to participate.
REGISTRATION: Monday, October 22 through Friday, November 2 at 5:00 pm. For your convenience we will accept registrations at the Tabb Library on Thursday, November 1 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Instructional class registration may end before November 1 if the 120 limit is reached.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: Teams are put together based on grade, siblings, school, height, and experience. Special requests cannot be accepted. Registrations received after the deadline will automatically be placed on a waiting list and assigned to teams on an as-needed basis.
FEE: $45 for the first child; $40 for each additional child per family. Please make check payable to "Treasurer, County of York" One check per family!
WAIVERS: The Board of Supervisors has authorized a fee waiver for this program for any child whose family income falls within the Federal Food Stamp Eligibility limits applicable to York County. A copy of your current food stamp/EBT card is required with registration form in order to qualify for this waiver.
EQUIPMENT: Non-skid shoes and shorts/pants without zippers or pockets are required for all practices and games. Jerseys will be used as uniforms and will be provided by Parks and Recreation. Practices and games will be played at various county school gymnasiums.
Coaches are volunteers and are always needed! The leagues are divided by grades:
Instructional Class (boys & girls) - 2nd grade only
Primary Boys - 3rd & 4th grade only
Primary Girls - 3rd & 4th grade only
Elementary Boys - 5th & 6th grades
Elementary Girls - 5th & 6th grades
Intermediate Boys - 7th & 8th grades
Intermediate Girls - 7th & 8th grades
Junior Boys - 9th & 12th grades
Junior Girls - 9th & 12th grades
INSTRUCTIONAL CLASS: This class will be offered to boys and girls in the 2nd grade. The class will meet every Tuesday for ten consecutive weeks. The last class will be a game for the children to show off the skills they have learned during the class. The classes are limited to the first 120 children that register. Class will begin in January.
