Central Purchasing, a Division of the Department of Financial and Management Services, was established in 1984. The Division serves the procurement needs of the County of York, its officers and agencies, and the York County School Division (YCSD).
Central Purchasing is a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP), the Southeastern Virginia Governmental Purchasing Cooperative (SVGPC), and the Southeastern Virginia Public Fleet Consortium (SVPFC).
