New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park this Weekend

Dear Friends of New Quarter Park -
Please join me on Friday, August 11, for our monthly Artifact Wash & Talk. We are really moving along on cleaning everything from the excavations at the Armistead manor house site. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you can come by sending an email to
Speaking of archaeology, our next Public Archaeology Dig will be on September 14 and 15. Sign up for a three-hour morning or afternoon session by sending an email to or by visiting the Fairfield Foundation website. Our plan is to do two more public archaeology programs at this site (in September 2017 and in April 2018), then move on to one of the other sites on the NQP property. We know their are at least eight more areas to be explored!
On Saturday, come out and join members of the Williamsburg Bird Club as they lead our 2nd Saturday Bird Walk. Meet in the parking lot at 8 am for the two-hour walk down to the creek, up through the woodlands, and on to the meadows. If you need binoculars, we have several pairs in the office and you are welcome to borrow a birding bag, complete with binoculars, guide, checklist, and more information about the WBC!

See you at the Park!
