New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park this Weekend

Dear Friends of New Quarter Park -
Thanks so much for sticking with us during York County's website upgrade and re-opting-in to our newsletter! While we don't have any special events this weekend, the weather will be great, so come on outside for a hike, bike, round of golf, picnic, kayak . . . whatever!
A new calendar with August and September events is included below. Please note -- sadly, our September Walk & Talk: Way Down in the Pawpaw Patch has been canceled due to our speaker's busy schedule. But the good news is that you can look for pawpaws on your next visit to the park. Look for the fruit in the pawpaw patches along hiking loop 8. I know it's tempting, but don't pick them! When pawpaws are ripe, they simply fall off of the trees. If you gently shake a tree and the pawpaw falls to the ground, then it's ready to eat. However, our raccoons and other wildlife love them, so consider looking and taking a picture, but leaving the fruit behind for the animals.
See you at the Park!
