Access to Circuit Court Records

Civil & Criminal Court Files

Civil (Law and Chancery) and Criminal Court files are public records unless sealed by court order. Court files are available for inspection Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies of court orders and documents filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court are available at a cost of $0.50 per page. An additional fee of $2 per document will be charged for certification.

Restricted/Sealed Court Files

Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court appeals and other sealed cases are not available for public inspection. Only counsel of record and/or the parties in the case may review these files.

Counsel of record and/or the parties in the case may be requested to present photo identification before the Court file will be provided. Adoption cases are not available for inspection by any individual unless a court order permits inspection.

Court Files on Court Docket

Court files may not be available for review when a case is scheduled for an upcoming docket, hearing or trial. Court files are pulled in advance of court dates to permit the Judges and court personnel the opportunity to review the cases.
