Youth Soccer

Fall Registration - CLOSED


Registration is from July 17 to August 4, 2017. Kindergarten registration is limited to 120 children and may end before August 4 if the limit is reached. You may register in person at the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Office. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or you may mail your completed registration form with a check. Please make checks payable to "TREASURER, COUNTY OF YORK." Mastercard and Visa credit cards are accepted as well. You may also register online.     Registration Form (PDF)

Eligibility


Those who are in grades Kindergarten to 12 may participate. Participants who are currently in grades 9 to 12 and are in the process of trying out for a school soccer team, are encouraged to register. Refunds will be given to those participants who make the school team.

Fees


Residents - 

The fees are $55 for the first child; $50 for each additional child per family, York County Residents only.

Non-County Residents - 

Non-county residents are $90 for all non-county residents.

Fee Waived - 

Fees are waived for York County families falling within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - Federal Food Stamp) eligibility limits. Proof of eligibility along with proper ID are required for registration in person at the Parks, Recreation and Tourism office. This waiver is available for York County residents only.

Special Requests


Teams are put together based on grade, gender, siblings, school, and experience. Since there are over 1,000 registered children, special requests cannot be accepted. Registrations received after the deadline will automatically be placed on a waiting list and assigned to teams on an as-needed basis.

Equipment


Participants must provide their own shin guards and wear them to all practices and games. Shoes with molded soles are recommended but sneakers are acceptable. Shoes that have detachable, metal, or full sized toe cleats are prohibited. All jewelry is prohibited. Uniform t-shirts are provided for grades 1 to 12 and must be worn for all games. No shorts/pants with zippers or pockets allowed at practices and games.

Instructional Kindergarten Class (Grade K) - Still Accepting Registration


This coed program is for current kindergartners. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children in learning the fundamentals of soccer. Classes meet for 1 hour on Saturday for 8 consecutive weeks. There is a maximum of 30 children per class (2 classes per site.)
T-shirts are not provided. The program culminates with a game for the parents to see their children demonstrate what they have learned!

Leagues


Leagues offered are 'Coed' (boys and girls) and 'Girls Only'. If not enough girls registered for a Girls Only league, they have the option to participate in the Coed league.

Coaches Meeting


The coaches meetings are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 for grades 1 through 6, and Thursday, August 31 for grades 7 through 12. Coaches and volunteers are always needed!
