A community forum focused on the Riverside/Busch/Marquis area as well as the Historic Triangle as a whole will be held on Thursday, Feb 2 at Magruder Elementary Cafetorium at 700 Penniman Rd. from  7-9 p.m.

The City of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County are simultaneously reviewing their comprehensive plans – the long-range plan for the locality’s physical development. Topics include land use, transportation, and other Historic Triangle regional issues.

Help celebrate York County’s high school-aged youth by nominating a deserving student for one of the county’s four $500 Outstanding Youth Award Scholarships sponsored each year by the Board of Supervisors and the Youth Commission.

Nominations in the categories of Compassion, Courage, Community Service and Overall Achievement are due at the Parks and Recreation Office by 5 p.m. on Wed., Feb. 15.

Due to the overwhelming response for ticket requests, the 2012 Cabin Fever Concert Series has been declared a sellout for each scheduled concert.

The York County Arts Commission invites all individuals and organizations to apply for grants in the arts that benefit the citizens of York County. Grant applications are available at the York County Parks and Recreation Office or on-line at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 2, 2012.

The York County Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 7 and will begin at 6 p.m. in York Hall, located at 301 Main Street in Yorktown.
